Driving under the influence : It is unlawful to drive while under the influence of marijuana (or alcohol or any other drug) by Vehicle Code 23152 . "Under the influence" is not specifically defined in the statute, but is interpreted to imply some degree of impairment. Therefore the mere fact of having taken a toke of marijuana does not necessarily mean one is DUI. For evidence of impairment, officers may administer a field sobriety test. Arrestees may also be required to submit to their choice of a urine or blood test under Vehicle Code 23612 . Since marijuana is detectable for much longer periods in urine than in blood (several days vs. several hours), a positive urine test constitutes much weaker proof of recent use and impairment than a positive blood test. If you haven't smoked marijuana recently and are not under the influence, you are better off to choose a blood test, since you will probably pass it. However, if you are a chronic smoker or have smoked recently, you are better off to choose a urine test; even though you can expect to test positive, the question will at least remain open as to whether you were actually "under the influence" at time of arrest.

The relatively flat blades give good performance at those speeds, and excellent take-off performance, but I expected that they would run out of puff at higher speeds compared to the high-helix props like the Bollie and the Kool.  But testing shows this not to be the case, in that at the same manifold pressure settings, the Brolga performed at 86kts, within one knot of both the Warp and the Kool!  The pitch blocks only come in one degree steps.  16º is a bit too fine for cruise, giving WOT 6000rpm, but 17º is over-pitched for best take-off.  Since the Brolga is under-pitched, the rpm for the same manifold pressure setting is higher, but the speed was still the same......  I had expected that this large 4-blade prop would be best at take-off and noticeably slower at such speeds, but it seems not to be the case.......  At WOT it gave 100+ knots, same as all the others, which was really surprising!

Thanks so much for posting this, Dr. Fudin. As an Ehlers-Danlos patient with a keen interest in science, it frustrates me when people can’t get their facts right. If Vicodin is the same thing as heroin, then we might as well say that Maxalt (rizatriptan benzoate) is the same thing as a tricyclic antidepressant because both can contribute to serotonin syndrome. The website for the PBS documentary “The Botany of Desire” outlined the chemical differences between different kinds of opiates quite clearly; interested readers might want to check it out. (I can’t find a link, though.) I have never taken hydrocodone, but I used to use Tylenol w/ codeine in the past for acute pain. Now that I live in New York, I can’t even get a prescription for that. As a result, I’ve had to make a prescription for 20 Tylenol 3 stretch over the course of a year and a half. Some people would be gracious and say that they would never wish their pain on their worst enemy, but if my enemy worked for the FDA, I certainly would. Maybe it would provoke a change of perspective. Thank you for your advocacy.

Page Object is a Design Pattern which has become popular in test automation for enhancing test maintenance and reducing code duplication. A page object is an object-oriented class that serves as an interface to a page of your AUT. The tests then use the methods of this page object class whenever they need to interact with the UI of that page. The benefit is that if the UI changes for the page, the tests themselves don’t need to change, only the code within the page object needs to change.
